Carrefour partners with Dubai’s Desert Vipers to promote healthier and more sustainable lifestyles in the UAE

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 10 January 2025: Carrefour, which Majid Al Futtaim owns the exclusive rights to operate in the UAE, has partnered with Dubai-based cricket team, the Desert Vipers, to promote healthier living and more sustainable food choices, while nurturing the next generation’s love for cricket.

The collaboration features the Desert Vipers Schools Programme, reaching over 12,000 students annually through GEMS Education and other educational partners. The programme leverages Carrefour’s “Choose Better” initiative, providing students with access to healthy food options, educational resources, and rewards. Carrefour customers can also win Desert Vipers live match tickets and merchandise or encourage their children to try out the pop-up cricket nets in select City Centre malls while they shop.

Further demonstrating their commitment to a greener future, the Desert Vipers will host their “Sustainability Match” on January 18, as part of the ILT20 league, where Carrefour will provide healthy snacks and juices to 150 children in the Fan Zone.
