Homegrown venue The Noodle House, teams up with fellow local brand Curious Elephant for a limited-edition exclusive menu, available from October onwards

Unveiling a limited-edition menu, The Noodle House brings never-before-seen dishes, in an exciting collaboration that showcases homegrown flavours and local creativity

Dubai, UAE – October 2024 – In an exciting venture launching on the 14th of October, until the end of December 2024, The Noodle House is proud to announce a brand-new limited-edition menu, in collaboration with popular homegrown Asian-inspired gourmet food brand, Curious Elephant This partnership – aptly named “Feed Your Curiosity, Feed Your Soul” – between The Noodle House, home of Asian soul food, and Curious Elephant Sauces, a small but highly successful F&B business, is the embodiment of the magic that results from two female, Asian and highly talented chefs coming together to make something special. This exclusive menu brings a harmonious blend of flavours to life, combining umami-packed dishes cooked to perfection by the new kitchen lead at The Noodle House, Chef Fetty Aryanie from Indonesia, with the vibrant and spicy sauces from Curious Elephant, founded by Melody Mok, a passionate foodie of Hong Kongese-Australian background. The special menu features eight aromatic dishes that highlight The Noodle House’s signature flavours, complemented by Melody’s famous sauces, and will be available in all their venues including JBR, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, City Walk and Nakheel Mall.

This collaboration is part of the brand’s mission to drive awareness and foster support for local, homegrown talent. As a pioneer in the local Dubai food scene for 18 years, The Noodle House sees itself as a seasoned homegrown brand and feels a responsibility to support smaller Asian homegrown F&B brands, who may still be establishing their roots, as they did almost two decades ago. By teaming up with innovative local businesses like the Curious Elephant, The Noodle House aims to cultivate a community of support, sharing its platform to help newer brands grow and thrive. Every quarter, The Noodle House will continue to partner with local, homegrown brands, celebrating the diverse food culture of the region.

Curious Elephant was created by Melody Mok in the thick of the pandemic in 2020, during which she bottled the spice and zest she tasted during her travels around Asia and memories from where she grew up in Sydney, Australia. Her handcrafted blend of bold yet refined chilli oils and sauces now proudly sits in the spice drawer of households across the Middle East, elevating the flavours of every dish it touches.

The Blended Menu

The special menu consists of eight delectable dishes, with four small plates and four large plates, each featuring a touch of Melody’s bold signature sauces.

The Thai Pomelo Salad (AED 54) offers unexpected yet harmonious flavours, where juicy pomelo is tossed with Malaysian chilli and crunchy peanuts for a light and zesty start. The Vegetable Wontons (AED 42) are delicately stuffed with a mix of fresh vegetables and topped with Curious Elephant’s spicy Chinese Chilli Oil. For meat lovers, the Chicken Dumplings are a must-try, packed with tender chicken and complemented by the heat of Curious Elephant’s Chinese chilli oil. For that satisfying golden crunch, the Crunchy Crab Balls (AED 38), combine crispy crab meat with a zesty Vietnamese chilli sauce from Curious Elephant, providing the perfect balance of texture and spice.

For the main courses, diners can tuck into the Baked Fish (AED 132), a tender, flaky fish complemented by the rich and spicy Vietnamese chilli sauce by Curious Elephant, served with a side of freshly steamed rice. The Aromatic Short Ribs (AED 128), are slow cooked to perfection, melting in the mouth and served with Curious Elephant’s bold Indonesian sambal, paired with a side of infused lemongrass and coconut steamed rice The menu also includes La Mien Noodles (AED 62), a dish of minced chicken with fresh hand-pulled noodles tossed with Chinese chilli oil and crowned with crispy fried wontons. For something truly special, the Duck Fried Rice (AED 76), features succulent seasoned duck breast, combined with Chinese chilli oil and pickles, offering a perfect mix of umami and spice.

Each dish is a thoughtful blend of tradition and innovation, home to a range of ‘mildly curious’ flavours with Curious Elephant’s lighter Vietnamese and Malaysian Sambals, to spicier kicks embodying the ‘fearless elephant’ with the brand’s Chinese chilli oil. The menu enmeshes the fresh flavours of The Noodle House with the adventurous taste of Curious Elephant’s selection. Almost everything served at The Noodle House is made in-house – from the egg noodles and dumplings to the sauces – ensuring the highest quality of food in every way.
