One Za’abeel Debuts Never-Before-Seen Diana Al-Hadid Artwork in Exclusive Preview ahead of Art Dubai

A limited-time exclusive preview running from 26 March -15 April 2025 at The Plaza, One Za’abeel. Visitors to this showcase can expect unique pieces by renowned artist Diana Al Hadid on display, with free admission and guided tours.

Dubai, UAE – 24 March 2025 – One Za’abeel, Dubai’s iconic landmark destination, is partnering with Galleri Brandstrup and Bureau Safavid to showcase the internationally acclaimed works of renowned, highly collected artist Diana Al-Hadid. Between 26 March – 15 April, visitors can immerse themselves in an exclusive preview of Al-Hadid’s monumental work before it is displayed in Art Dubai later in April. Admission to the exhibit is free of charge and open at The Plaza, One Za’abeel between 9 AM – 9 PM, daily.

The showcase is the latest initiative by One Za’abeel under its ‘Curated at One’ calendar of culture-defining events. The iconic destination provides the perfect venue for the timeless showcase amidst its architectural elegance in the heart of the city.

For a limited-time, Dubai residents and visitors can experience the Syrian-born, Brooklyn-based artists’ work first hand. Renowned for her intricate, large-scale pieces that blur the lines between reality and fantasy, Al-Hadid’s rich work is an intricate study of space and structure, engaging the viewer continuously through its constant shift and flow of perspectives. Inspired by historic civilisations, mythology, and scientific advancements, her ethereal and layered works have been exhibited and collected by major institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Misk Art Institute in Riyadh, and The Presidential Court in Abu Dhabi.

The artwork is presented in partnership with Galleri Brandstrup, a pioneering Norwegian art gallery, and Bureau Safavid, a local curatorial platform dedicated to fostering visionary artists. About Diana Al-Hadid

Diana Al-Hadid is a Syrian-born, Brooklyn-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, wall reliefs, and immersive installations. Drawing from art history, architecture, and science, her works explore themes of transformation, materiality, and cultural memory. Al-Hadid holds an MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University and has been awarded fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Museum of Fine Arts Houston, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and The San Jose Museum of Art, and is held in numerous public and private collections.
