Choithrams, UAE Food Bank and Dubai Cares Light Up Lives with Double Blessings Ramadan Campaign
Charitable initiative to boost education and community welfare projects in partnership with Dubai Cares and UAE Food Bank
Dubai, 26 March, 2025: Choithrams, UAE’s much-loved community supermarket, has announced the launch of the fourth edition of “Double Blessings” Ramadan initiative, a successful fundraising and awareness campaign run in collaboration with Dubai Cares and UAE Food Bank, both part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). The campaign aims to rally community support to boost philanthropic projects focused on providing access to education within marginalised communities and food to vulnerable sections of the society.
The campaign, which runs until 29 March 2025, invites customers to donate virtual biryani boxes, priced at AED 10, or food boxes worth AED 20, at checkout counters across all Choithrams stores in Dubai. Donations can also be made online at Choithrams.com. All proceeds will be channeled through the UAE Food Bank and Dubai Cares to ensure that essential food supplies and educational resources reach those most in need.

Hosted annually by Choithrams, the Double Blessings Ramadan Campaign has become a well-recognised community-led campaign that unites residents and tourists towards the one goal of sharing the blessings during the holy month.

About UAE Food Bank
The UAE Food Bank is a non-profit charitable organisation launched January 4th 2017 under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
It is committed to distributing food to those in need while eliminating food waste by collaborating with local authorities, as well as local and international charities, to create a comprehensive ecosystem to efficiently store, package and distribute excess fresh food from hotels, restaurants, and supermarkets. It is the first Food Bank in the United Arab Emirates.
