Dubai \u2013 01 April 2026:<\/strong>\u00a0GFH Financial Group (\u201cGFH\u201d or \u201cthe Group\u201d) announced the approval of its change of commercial name to \u201cGFH Bank B.S.C.\u201d, in a strategic move that reflects a fundamental transformation in its business model and reinforces the clarity of its identity as an integrated banking and investment institution.<\/h3>\n

The approval was granted during the Extraordinary General Meeting for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, which was held via virtual means, where shareholders approved the change of the commercial name, in addition to amending the Memorandum and Articles of Association in line with this change.<\/h3>\n

This transformation comes at a time when credit, financing and treasury activities account for approximately 60% of the Group\u2019s overall business, within an integrated business model focused on diversifying income streams and enhancing long-term financial sustainability.<\/h3>\n

Over recent years, the Group has also adopted a partnership-driven model in asset management, through the establishment of associate companies in collaboration with specialised partners to directly manage investment activities. This approach enhances operational efficiency while enabling the Group to focus on developing its core banking platform.<\/h3>\n

Commenting on the occasion,\u00a0Mr Hisham Alrayes, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member<\/strong>, said: \u201cThe change of name to \u2018GFH Bank\u2019 directly reflects the transformation the Group has undergone in recent years. While we were previously focused primarily on asset management, today we are increasingly driven by credit, financing and treasury activities, which represent a significant share of our business and revenues. It is therefore important that our name clearly reflects this evolution to investors and the market.\u201d<\/h3>\n

He added: \u201cAt the same time, we continue to develop our wealth and investment management activities through a partnership model with specialised institutions, enhancing efficiency and ensuring sustainable growth in this segment. The name change comes at a pivotal stage, alongside the acceleration of our digital transformation and the launch of our digital platforms, marking a key step in consolidating a fully integrated business model aligned with our future ambitions.\u201d<\/h3>\n

The adoption of the new name reflects a forward-looking vision aimed at reinforcing the Group\u2019s position as a leading regional financial institution, capable of delivering integrated banking and investment solutions across its key business lines, including Wealth & Investment Management, Credit & Financing, and Treasury & Proprietary Investments.<\/h3>\n
