Sharjah, UAE (August 2, 2026): \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Coral Beach Resort Sharjah has achieved another sustainability milestone with the successful commissioning and operation of Sharjah\u2019s first hotel biodigester. The resort is now the first hotel in the Emirate to have a fully operational biodigester system, reinforcing its position as a pioneer in responsible tourism and environmental stewardship.<\/h3>\n

Now in operation, the state-of-the-art biodigester uses natural microorganisms and oxygen to safely break down organic kitchen waste into greywater. By processing food waste on-site instead of sending it to landfill, the system significantly reduces methane emissions and lowers the carbon footprint associated with conventional waste collection and transportation.<\/h3>\n

The biodigester also supports the resort\u2019s water conservation efforts. The nutrient-rich greywater produced through the process is reused to irrigate the resort\u2019s landscaped gardens, plants and green spaces, creating a closed-loop system that transforms food waste into a valuable resource.<\/h3>\n
