MEES returned to Dubai as one of the region\u2019s largest gatherings for the events industry, bringing together more than 6,400 professionals for two days of strategic conversations, practical learning, innovation and meaningful industry engagement.<\/h3>\n

19 August 2026, Dubai, UAE<\/strong>: The 17th edition of the Middle East Event Show (MEES) drew to a successful close after returning to Dubai for one of the year\u2019s biggest gatherings of events, experiential marketing and live entertainment professionals.<\/h3>\n

Held on 18 and 19 August at Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre, the 2026 edition welcomed 6,400+ professionals alongside 100+ exhibitors, 60+ speakers and industry leaders.<\/h3>\n

The return of MEES brought together event organisers, agencies, venues, suppliers, technology providers and experiential specialists for two days of knowledge sharing, networking and industry collaboration.<\/h3>\n

Strategic resilience was at the heart of this year\u2019s programme, with discussions examining how the events sector can respond to changing business conditions, adopt new technologies, strengthen its workforce and continue delivering meaningful live experiences.<\/h3>\n

The conference programme featured keynote presentations, panel discussions and expert-led sessions exploring how events businesses can become more adaptable, sustainable and prepared for future change.<\/h3>\n

Highlighted sessions included Built to Last: Resilience as the Events Industry\u2019s New Standard, which examined how companies can strengthen their operations and prepare for a changing industry.<\/h3>\n

Other sessions included, The AI-Proof Industry? Why Events Might Be Technology\u2019s Biggest Blind Spot, Human to Human: What the Industry Is Really Thinking, Freelance Under Pressure: The Future of Our Beloved Freelancers, Marketing That Moves: Winning in the Algorithm Era and Event Industry 2030: What Will Disappear?<\/h3>\n

Regional and international speakers included Azza Hegazi, Head of Global Experiences at Snapchat; Cosmin Ivan, CEO of Platinumlist; Iyad Rasbey, Vice President, Destination Tourism Development at Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority; Priya Patel, Head of Communications at Coca-Cola Arena; and Shea Bennett of Identity Middle East.<\/h3>\n

Discussions addressed artificial intelligence, changing audience expectations, workforce pressures, professional wellbeing, the future of ticketing, and the growing contribution of events to tourism and destination development.<\/h3>\n

Together, the sessions demonstrated how strategic resilience, innovation, and human connection are becoming increasingly important to the long-term success of the events industry.<\/h3>\n

An Interactive Learning Experience<\/strong>
\nMEES 2026 expanded its practical learning programme through the Workshop Zone, developed in partnership with The Events Group (TEG).<\/h3>\n

The dedicated space moved beyond traditional presentations by giving attendees the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions addressing real-world industry challenges. Workshops covered key topics including artificial intelligence and creative strategy.<\/h3>\n

The Workshop Zone complemented the wider conference programme by creating another environment for professionals to exchange knowledge, develop practical skills, and engage directly with industry peers and experts.<\/h3>\n
