Information City Social Journey Unlimited Humanitarian Initiatives 

Dubai, February 28, 2023 – Under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum and its strategic partner, MTN, the Information City affirms its continued humanitarian work to include the societal and educational sectors, in cooperation with various government and private bodies through partnerships with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, Dubai Police, Ministry Of Interior General Command Of Civil Defense Directorate General Of Dubai Civil Defense  , Dubai Ambulance, and other government departments, charitable and humanitarian organizations.

Presently, the Information City, announces the launch of its “Saada” 2023 initiative, which reflects its permanent commitment and the true image it embodied in the values of community cohesion, synergy, and participation for the benefit and welfare of the country. The team in charge of the Information City activities and its role in supporting members of society and residents, regardless of their nationalities, insists on focusing on the progress and development of Dubai to achieve a leading position in all health, community, educational, and other fields.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum said, “With the dedication of the Information City team and the support of local and international partners, we are continuing our donations and well-studied initiatives that have reaped tremendous achievements on the health, educational, and social levels. And through our initiative “Saada… Teach…Protect” 2023, we aim to contribute to the conversion of a number of schools to green energy in line with the vision of their Highnesses in charge of the country’s development. In return, school administrations will reduce the annual fees incurred by some students as an alternative to the green energy fees they obtained from our initiative.”

“We are also cooperating with KHDA, Dubai Police, Directorate General Of Dubai Civil Defense and Dubai Ambulance to organize visits to schools participating in our initiative, to educate students about traffic, health, and preventive laws, and to introduce the guidelines to protect them from accidents and save their lives from road accidents, as well as providing the necessary instructions for fire protection,” he continued.

The history of the Information City during the past sixteen years highlights the success of its initiative “Educate a Child, Build a Nation” by providing 1,000 computers to children to educate them about technology and scientific development. “Saada” initiative also reaches its peak by providing 1,000 school bags with a set of stationery to students between five and nine years old, as well as paying part of school fees for 250 students. As for the blessed month of Ramadan, the Information City takes the lead in supporting humanitarian issues by providing food baskets to many families and individuals, in addition to distributing thousands of medical masks, sterilizers, and hygiene supplies to address the pandemic.

The “Saada…Teach…Protect” 2023 initiative is implemented in cooperation with a number of organizations, government departments, and local and international companies from various sectors to serve the community on the one hand, and aims to find investment opportunities in the UAE that will increase the development and growth of companies and commercial establishments on the other hand.

Up to this date, all initiatives, including the “Saada” initiative portfolio, have embodied the highest societal and human values, and have won the praise and support of senior state officials in order to achieve the goals aimed at protecting and pushing society to the global level. It has also gained the appreciation and attention of a large number of institutions, charities, local and international sponsoring companies, including: MTN , ONPASSIVE , MEINHART , SOBHA GROUP, PERFETTI VAN MELLE , KHANSAHEB, DUBAI DUTY FREE , MEZZAN HOLDING GROUP, DNV .
