Emirates Surgical Pathology Conference kicks off in Dubai

The Emirates Surgical Pathology Conference 2023, organized by the Emirates Medical Association’s Division of the Pathology Society, kicked off this morning with the participation of more than 400 specialists from around the world at the Address Marina Hotel.
Dr. Mouza Al Sharhan, President of the Emirates Medical Association, President of the Society of Pathology, Head of Medical Laboratories at Dubai Hospital, President of the Conference, stressed the importance of the event in this prestigious event dedicated to the field of pathology, stressing that the Emirates Pathology Conference, expressing her hope that the edition of the year will be a useful and enriching experience for all participants.
Dr. Mouza Al Sharhan pointed out that the conference serves as a platform for pathologists, laboratory specialists, researchers and clinicians to come together to share their knowledge, the latest research results and innovative practices. Over the course of two days, we will delve into the world of pathology, exploring cutting-edge diagnostic technologies, advanced therapies, and emerging trends shaping the future of healthcare.
She explained that the conference will include attractive scientific sessions in which famous experts will participate thought-provoking discussions, interactive panel discussions, poster presentations showcasing groundbreaking research, an opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders, and there will be a showcase area for the latest advances in pathology technology and services.

Dr. Mouza thanked the Scientific Committee for the hard and dedicated work and for developing a strong and comprehensive program that includes a wide range of topics, ensuring that there is all useful and new, whether for pathologists or new doctors, and we urge them to actively participate in discussions, ask questions and exchange ideas with participants to enhance cooperation and drive progress in the field of pathology, noting the collaboration with the National Reference Laboratory at Cleveland Hospital, and sponsored by more than 12 medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory companies who collaborated With the Emirates Society of Pathology in the current year 2023 conference in order to present a successful conference that contributes to the exchange of experiences and the development of skills and expertise for all participants in the event

After that, the work of the scientific program of the Conference of Tissue and Cell Diseases was launched in the presence of 30 lecturers, where the topics of the seminars varied, including modern diagnosis of cancer in various kinds, and the lecturers held many discussions about the importance of introducing artificial robots in diagnosis, and the lecturers focused on the need for the introduction of technology to be limited to completing the diagnostic process and not in replacing diagnosis with artificial intelligence due to the limitations of current applications, as the two currencies of artificial intelligence are complementary assistance and support in measuring the number of cancer cells in the tissue and in collecting measurements Certain present in the diagnosis of cancerous diseases
Emphasis was also placed on the need to monitor these technologies before introducing them into medical work in the country, and quality-related topics were discussed before and during the introduction of these applications to prevent medical errors in their applications.
