On World Cancer Day, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Highlights Global Progress in Cancer Care and Access
Advances in diagnosis, treatment, and physician collaboration are improving cancer care for patients across the Middle East and beyond
DUBAI, RIYADH, DOHA, February 4 2026. On World Cancer Day, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is highlighting how advances in cancer research and care are translating into real-world benefits for patients globally, including across the Middle East, through improved diagnosis, better treatment experiences, and close collaboration with physicians in the region.
While scientific discovery remains essential, MSK’s focus is increasingly on ensuring innovation reaches patients in ways that improve outcomes and quality of life. Recent work includes less invasive diagnostic approaches, data-driven tools to support more precise treatment decisions, and studies designed to reduce treatment-related side effects so patients can remain on therapy.
In 2025, MSK played a key role in international clinical trials that expanded treatment options across multiple cancer types, while other research explored immunotherapy-based approaches that allow some patients to avoid more invasive interventions without compromising effectiveness. MSK is also advancing pediatric cancer care and equity of access, helping ensure children benefit from cutting-edge diagnostics and treatments regardless of geography. MSK will continue to engage with regional healthcare leaders and clinicians at World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai in February, reflecting its ongoing commitment to collaboration, education, and advancing cancer care across the Middle East.
