Union Coop continues to expand its organic product range, offering 33 categories of vegetables, fruits and other products through partnerships with 20 organic farms. The retailer receives approximately six tonnes of organic products daily, supported by ongoing collaboration with local and international growers and suppliers.

Mohamed Al Hashemi, CEO of Union Coop, said expanding the organic range and improving product displays remain key priorities, helping shoppers identify and select products easily. He reaffirmed the retailer’s commitment to supporting local farms and strengthening supplier partnerships to ensure a diverse selection that meets quality requirements at competitive prices.

“Demand for organic products increased by 25% in 2026, with winter recording the highest sales and customer demand,” he said.

He added that organic vegetables are among the most popular categories. Union Coop regularly reviews its assortment, assesses product quality and pricing, and benchmarks prices against the market to provide varied choices that meet shoppers’ needs and expectations.

The retailer also places particular emphasis on presenting organic products in clearly designated, consistently arranged sections across its branches. Prominent product names and organic labelling help customers distinguish these items and explore the available options with ease.

To maintain quality, Union Coop conducts farm visits to review products and cultivation methods and verify compliance with applicable requirements. It also maintains regular contact with existing and prospective growers and suppliers to introduce additional varieties and expand its network of partner farms.

Al Hashemi highlighted support for UAE farms and stronger collaboration with domestic producers as central to developing Union Coop’s fruit and vegetable offering. Its partnerships with 20 organic farms help diversify sourcing and maintain product availability.

He reaffirmed Union Coop’s commitment to developing its organic offering by broadening its supplier base, diversifying its assortment, improving in-store displays and supporting local growers, while maintaining a focus on quality, competitive pricing and shoppers’ needs throughout the year.
