This academic-led workshop caters to School Principals, Vice-Principals, and Careers Guidance Counsellors eager to enhance their leadership acumen and acquire the tools to spearhead change within educational settings.

Dr Gavin Duffy will be leading the workshop. Dr Duffy is a lecturer and Programme Director of the MSc Educational Leadership Programme at the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work, Queen’s University Belfast.

Interactive Workshop Menu: A Glimpse into Project-Based Learning

This workshop is aimed to give exposure to high school students aged over 16 year a university style experimental learning.  Project based learning is at the heart of Queen’s University Belfast’s ethos. In an effort to provide a taste of this unique approach, we present a series of fun, interactive challenges designed to test teamwork, communication, task management, and problem-solving skills, all while learning more about a range of subjects.

  • Computing: The Sphero Challenge

  • Medicine & health science: Learn how to extract DNA from a fruit.
